I visited this spot in Jackson Heights - their momos placed THIRD last year in the NYC momo crawl, and after trying them, I see why 👀 You can choose from five cooking styles, but the buff/beef momo was the REAL standout. We got it in jhol - delicious dumplings swimming in a rich broth. new matcha spot alert in the West Village! 🍵✨ This spot is serving up ceremonial-grade drinks, matcha soft serve, and 5 levels of matcha gelato. We tried both extremes of the gelato (level 1 at 2.9% and level 5 at 17.9%) and honestly, they were equally amazing in their own way. The matcha latte was smooth, earthy, and perfectly balanced. AYCE omakase spot IN QUEENS! and I had to see if it was actually worth the hype 👀🍣 For $108 at Warabi, you’re getting a full omakase experience plus 3 additional all-you-can-eat rounds, which already sounds kind of crazy for NYC. We started strong with apps like a stretchy sesame tofu and a chawanmushi topped with seafood and truffle - super rich, savory, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. Then came 10 pieces of nigiri, and they did not miss. Standouts for me were the amberjack with yuzu, sweet shrimp with uni, salmon with foie gras, and the otoro with caviar that they literally spray with gold (yes… gold 😭). You also get a toro oshinko handroll before the real challenge begins - the AYCE rounds. You can order from options like akami, otoro, salmon, and even wagyu, but definitely pace yourself because anything beyond the included rounds is $10 per piece.
