NYC really said let’s put all the legends in a pita 😭 Tried the Katz x Shifka Pastrami Laffa with hand-cut pastrami wrapped in soft laffa with amba mustard and fermented red cabbage. It’s smoky, tangy, and such a fun Middle Eastern twist on the classic pastrami sandwich. Shifka (from the team behind Sami and Susu) is running a collab series with some of NYC’s most iconic spots, including Pecking House, Katz’s Delicatessen, Barney Greengrass, Peter Luger Steak House, and Greenpoint Fish & Lobster - each one reimagining their signature dish in pita form.
