What Indonesian dishes should I try?! ๐ฎ๐ฉ I really want to try more Indonesian food so I met up with my friend, Francis at @Awangkitchennyc. Man.. this was a great decision Awang Kitchen (๐8405 Queens Blvd Ste 1C, Queens, NY) features a bunch of traditional Indonesian dishes along with other options. We tried their Nasi Telor with fried chicken and beef rendang. Not only is this perhaps the best fried egg Iโve ever had.. But, the shallots, sweet soy sauce, and sambal embraced that rice with amazing flavor! There were also goat skewers which were fragrant from its coriander spice mix. The skewers were accompanied with an incredible sauce which was spicy, sweet, acidic and savory at the same time. The Nasi Imput, or compressed rice, is the perfect vessel for that sauce! #indonesian #indonesianfood #indonesiancuisine #nasitelor #skewers #southeastasianfood #nycfood #newyorkcityfood #queensfood #elmhurst #elmhurstqueens #indonesiafood #nyceats #foodstories #foodvlog #eatingnewyork #nyceats #nasiimpit #asianfood #asianfoodie
