However, not only is it regarded as one of the best steakhouses in NYC, it is also one of the best steakhouses in the world apparently! At least according to the annual World's Best steakhouses ranking, which is a listing of the top 101 Best Steakhouses in the World, which is put out by a magazine every year. Now obviously, just because some magazine thinks that doesn't mean it's gospel obviously. Everyone has their biases, including Michelin Guide, and you know that I'm leery of steak rankings and food rankings in general. However, this place is acclaimed and American Cut is popular with a fancy crowd, which makes sense as it's in Tribeca near all the celebrities and rich New Yorkers. We tried the iconic American Cut pastrami ribeye, as well as its wagyu, to see if American Cut is worth the hype or just overrated hype at this point.
