𝙅𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 - 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙛: 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚: 𝙑𝙞𝙟𝙖𝙮 𝙆𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙧 from Semma First off, congrats to Semma for being named the #1 restaurant by the New York Times! Arguably the most talked about Indian restaurant in New York, Semma has pretty much been on everyone’s list! Milly and I walked in with no reservation a couple weeks ago (hence the bar seating) and these are some of the things that stood out to us, both pros and cons! I will say that after eating here, I realized how little I know about Southern Indian cuisine, specifically Tamil cuisine so take our opinion with a grain of salt! I’m sure there’s a lot to appreciate but I think certain things flew over my head from lack of experience in this area.
