Japanese style brunch? The answer is always yes :) Lingo is a neighborhood Japanese-American gem in Greenpoint, that offers a Japanese inspired brunch from 10:30-3PM on Sat/Sun. Pictured here are: * Hokkaido Milk Bread ($7) — baked fresh daily! * Apple Tart Tatin Pancakes ($22) * Miso Butter Mushroom Toast ($19) * Duck Confit Katsu Sando ($30) Also highly recommend the Miso Black Cod Sando ($26) which we didn’t get this time, but is an all time fave. 📍Lingo, 27 Greenpoint Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222 Follow for more NYC eats! 🤍
I recently posted about the new Hey Tea Yingde black milk tea series, and this new variation adds in a stretchy layer of cheese mochi at the bottom, creating an indulgent creamy experience at both the top (with the cheese foam) and bottom of the drink. They will also be offering BOGO on launch day again (February 12th) so grab a friend to go try it out 🥰 Let me know what you guys think 😋
Cha An’s Japanese style afternoon tea slays every time 🥰🫖 Right now, the season is hojicha ✨ Key details: -Afternoon tea set price: $68 +tax per person -Tearoom is open in the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays only (two seatings per day) -It’s recommended to reserve your spot early, as seats are limited to 20 customers per session 📍Cha An, 230 E 9th St, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10003 —- follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats 🤍
Still dreaming about this one 😮💨 All of the appetizers, nigiri, dessert were hits. The TDLR: - 18 courses (5 apps, 12 nigiri, 1 dessert) - $238 pp - 10/10 recommend for a worthy omakase splurge 📍Kiwami, 141 Bridge Park Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11201 —— follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats 💌
Chef Jay never disappoints 😍 Tucked away in Tribeca, Tsubame is a 10-seat chefs counter by Chef Jay that draws inspiration from traditional kaiseki dining. The focus is on seasonality and quality, with premium ingredients sourced from Japan. It is a bit of a splurge at $250 pp (before tax & tip), but you’re paying for not just the premium ingredients, but also the overall experience, and precision, creativity, and care that Chef Jay and his team bring to the table — well worth it for a special, memorable occasion 🥰 📍Tsubame, 11 Park Pl, New York, NY 10007 —- follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats 💌

The $16.53 Indian lunch buffet by Namaste Tasi Delek was on of my favorite finds last year, and now I can’t stop coming 🙈 They don’t really have much of a social media or online presence so we didn’t find them earlier (even though my husband and I have been on the search for a good Indian lunch buffet for ages). The buffet is available 6 days a week (every day except Tuesday) from 12-4PM. It’s located in Jackson Heights, one of the most diverse neighborhoods in NYC with some of the best cuisines. After tax + tip, the total comes out to about $21 per person. 📍 Namaste Tasi Delek, 37-66 74th St., Jackson Heights, NY 11372 Follow me for more NYC eats! 🥢 #newyork #nyc #nycfood #nycfoodie #nyceats

This is Yingtao 🍒 — NYC’s only Chinese Michelin-starred restaurant ⭐️ Instead of traditional family-style dishes, Yingtao serves a multi-course tasting menu that blends Chinese flavors with Western (especially French) techniques. I love seeing nostalgic Chinese dishes and flavors portrayed in this unique, elevated, tasting menu format - super inventive, and worthy of a special splurge or special occasion 🥰 🏷️: $150 per person for 7-course tasting. 📍Yingtao, Hell’s Kitchen 805 9th Ave, New York, NY 10019 Follow for more NYC eats! 🥢 #newyork #nyc #nycfood #nycfoodie #nyceats

Amazing new add to the NYC food scene 🥢 Chubby Tan is a the first restaurant in NYC specializing in gyutan (grilled beef tongue), and is the first U.S. concept tied to “Gyutan no Lemon,” a popular chain in Japan/Taiwan The menu is focused on beef tongue set meals with rice, soup, pickles, etc., and they use thick-cut wagyu tongue grilled over charcoal, which gives it a smoky, juicy texture 🤤 The vibe is minimalist with only counter style seating, which reminded me of small, cozy restaurants in Japan 📍Chubby Tan, 239 E 5th St, New York, NY 10003 Follow for more NYC eats! 🥢 #newyork #nyc #nycfood #nycfoodie #nyceats
You don’t need to go to Korea for salt bread anymore 🥲 Salt Bread Ko just opened its doors a few months back to bless us with freshly baked salt breads. You can get 3 regular salt breads for $14, or 2 salt breads + 1 spread for $12 (and they have a tonnn of spreads to choose from!) They also have specialty salt breads, like the pandan coconut ($6.5) and the black osetra caviar with truffle spread ($28) shown here — and many others I need to go back for 🤤 I think the line has died down since it opened (I barely waited when arriving around noon on a Saturday), but would try going on a week day if you can / want to avoid the risk of waiting! 📍Salt Bread Ko, 4 E 32nd St, New York, NY 10016 Follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats! 🥢 #newyork #nyc #nycfood #nycfoodie #nyceats

Early Terrible is a restaurant / cocktail bar that gives quintessential LES vibes 🍸 They rolled out a new menu earlier this year with a new chef, that leans into French-Filipino flavors — there’s super unique dishes on the menu, like bone marrow beef tartare and lemon grass escargot! A cute, intimate spot for a catch up with good drinks, vibes, and unique bites. 📍Early Terrible, 303 Broome St, New York, NY 10002 —— Follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats 🐷
This is one of NYC’s most talked-about new Indian restaurants, from London’s acclaimed JKS Restaurants group (the team behind Gymkhana). The original London location recently earned a Michelin star, and the NYC location is the first international outpost. ✨ The interior is lavish, inspired by North Indian party mansions, and the menu showcases standout Punjabi and North Indian cuisine 📍Ambassadors Clubhouse, 1245 Broadway, New York, NY 10001 — follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats!
One of my favorite restaurants, @domodomonyc, recently launched what they refer to as a ‘domokase’, and I think it’s one of the best value tastings under $100. ☺️ It includes - - Amuse bouche trio - Wagyu toast - 4 pc seasonal nigiri - 4 pc signature nigiri - 1 hand roll (your choice) - Roasted sea bass (v generous portion) - Dessert (your choice) Definitely come hungry, bc it is A LOT of food.🤰🏻 📍DOMODOMO, 140 W Houston St, New York, NY 10012 Follow @nyc_piggie for more NYC eats! 🐷
